SEE IT: Police shoot, kill unarmed man on California beach as he runs away from officers

A team of California police shot and killed an unarmed man running away from a group sheriff's deputies after thinking stun bags the deputies had fired were actual bullets in a shootout, according to a report.

The gunfire erupted Sunday when Jason Conoscenti, 36, tried to ditch a car on Long Beach after a 15-minute chase from a store in Compton, where the suspect pulled a pair of scissors on officers, authorities said.

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said Conoscenti, holding a wooden stick in his hand, refused their orders to stop and sprinted towards the beach.

6. There is a real problem in this country when you are shot in the back

by "peace officers" while unarmed. That's just unbelievable.

Think we have a police state yet? No? Pray you don't call the police to your home to report a break-in and they shoot your dog. Pray you aren't minding your own business and have your activities to be assumed felonious and get shot in the back.

Pray you don't have to interact with the police in a large city because it is dangerous.

You can't just let the enemy run away, we're at war! What message does that send to other combatants if he's allowed to run away?

What if this combatant ran off then tipped off fellow combatants?



...but is all seriousness, we'll see the clip and be outraged, the cops will officially be let off the hook in a year and... that'll be it.

I honestly cannot bring myself to watch this stuff anymore because I feel so helpless. Men in uniform are strangling, beating and killing unarmed people right in front of our eyes and not a damn thing is ever done.
