Seriously, this just shows what can go wrong when amateurs try to do their own tree work. My general rule is that if it's big enough to fall on me or someone else and do some serious damage, I hire someone who is insured and bonded and knows what they are doing.

If it's too big for my offset loppers, I ask for help.
