https://tails.boum.org/index.en.htmlTails is an operating system that is set up for anonymity and privacy. Amonst other things, all internet traffic is routed through the TOR network. There are easy-to-use tools for cryptography, anonymous instant messaging and filesharing and other things. It is the operating system that Snowden used to leak the data while he was working for the NSA.

I certainly don't want to be a...a...a traitor! (And I also heard he was an asshole to boot!)
NO no no no. This just won't do. If the federal government and the NSA wants to scour my emails and browsing history I should just submit. Its for my own good. I mean..if a whistle-blowing asshole like Snowden is using it, I don't want anything to do with it!

(36,281 posts)Nice. Live systems are not as convenient as installed systems for many routine computing tasks, but they're excellent for secure communications. I assume this version can support HD installations, but that would defeat at least some of the objectives, e.g. to leave no trace on the computer after use.
