(14,400 posts)between 10 and 30 million oathkeepers and likesimpleminded militia brethren to DC on Friday to force the Government to resign because of general high crimes and misdemeanors.
They will not leave until a more Constitution friendly Government has taken over and all the bad guy's are locked up or hanged from lampposts or some other RW handjob fantasy....
I can never keep my nutjob vocabulary translator updated fast enough to figure out what the hell these idiots are saying from one day to the next.
I think we can safely bet that DC won't have to put out for overtime to control the crowd in this case.

(62,444 posts)The reason why all the planes, trains and buses are jammed this week is apparently due to what will be a gathering of 10 million people in DC to protest and remain "for the duration" required to remove the President and a number of Congresscritters, replace them with "Constitutional" authorities, and conduct trials of everyone who has done bad stuff.

(11,495 posts)I wonder how many of those "10 million" are getting some kind of help from the government? How else could they stay "for the duration" if they don't have some kind of source of income? What the government should do is find out just how many of them "stay for the duration" and cancel any kind of government assistance they may get.
Of course I doubt if more than a few hundred show up, and I can't imagine any of them staying very long. I wonder where they plan on staying, in some kind of tent city? It's just going to be very embracing for them when the numbers don't jive with they BS claims.

(45,487 posts)reducing the size of the US budget by 2/3. If they have time in the afternoon, they'll go visit the Air and Space Museum and maybe the WWII memorial.
They expect a turnout of 10-30 million.

(4,788 posts)I wonder if I should plan on getting to my Metro station earlier than usual. Although now that I think about it, maybe getting there later would be best. I mean that way I'd probably get a seat, especially if Metro decides to run more 8 car trains that day. I think I'll either bring my lunch so I don't have to go out and overcrowd the local deli - it wouldn't be fair of me to do that. If I'm really lucky, the World Bank Group will decide to close because of all the people expected to turn out for this and I won't have to worry about running into any of them. And the meeting I've got scheduled can go on via a conference call and I can call in from my house. Yeah, that's the ticket!

(13,992 posts)There's an actual Facebook page for D-Day (it's a reference site) that has more than 15,000 Likes and more than 5,000 talking.
So they have a ways to go...
Edit: It's quite interesting, if you're a history buff.
