(28,749 posts)Here I'll just remind you of what it is...
Your OP is crap, in my opinion. It is shit stirring and serves no point.
Yes I said it, and to any jury who might happen to have to decide on my post, I'll take the hide, even though it's undeserved. Hopefully that spells out my point for you a bit more concisely.

(11,785 posts)I'm kind of surprised this hasn't been locked yet. I figured it would happen just as I tried to post my complaint about threads getting locked just as you make a post...

(68,918 posts)It's not fun, especially lately, and I don't appreciate your snark. I actually requested the locking host unlock it and alert on it because hosts should not be unilaterally locking stuff. Thanks.

(44,228 posts)made all the more difficult by Hosts who selectively enforce the SOP, and the "veto" power that can be exercised by a Host that prevents a thread from being locked.
IMO, alerting for SOP, especially in GD, is almost a complete waste of time.

(135,425 posts)one or two who will do it, and who dig down and refuse to concede to the will of the majority because of a personal bias, to make people distrust the process.
On many occasions when I was hosting forums I voted to leave stuff that I personally disliked, or voted to hide stuff I thought was just great, because I did what a host was supposed to do and weighed the posts against the doggone SOP, not against my personal desires.
When people who are hosting don't do that, it does affect the faith the community has in the host system.
