I read the following on another site, I'm not buying it, do you?
"Some of the things that's gotten me to stop aligning myself with the Democratic Party:
Benghazi is piling on, and the Obama Administration is starting to look guilty as sin.
Planned Parenthood spokeswoman spoke in favor of post-birth abortion if the baby was struggling. Dems won't condemn it."

(3,447 posts)...I'm going to say that's a poseur (and I normally don't like to insinuate that about people).
However, its a matter of point that I have never, ever, met a person IRL who knew anything about Benghazi at all who wasn't a RW'er, and even online the only people I know who 'know' anything about it that aren't conservatives are here at DU (by virtue of being far more well-read than the average person).
The second one is a -direct- RW talking point that was circulated in church groups (oh, the joys of being related to a family of fundies, eh?).

(23,720 posts)the links I demanded from this freak (because he posted this crap with nothing to back him) are over a year old. DU is my main source for news and I have read nothing in regards to new info coming out and things heating up over Bengazhi. Nor have a read anything about Democrats refusing to speak out on the subject of post birth abortions nor anyone advocating for them.
To me it all sounded like Fox News. However, it wasn't the lies that this person posted that pissed me off. What pissed me off was them pretending to be a disillusioned Democrat and that these are the reasons for his disillusionment.

(3,447 posts)In fact, I've seen more of the opposite - that one is more likely to be dismissed as a RW troll than believed to be a disillusioned Democrat. But still this myth persists for some reason.
Ah, well, at least it makes it easier to catch most of them.

(9,462 posts)but..." Turns out saying "Obama should be impeached for the fake Benghazi scandal and abortion providers are going to hell" doesn't get the converts that the approach she used does.
Explain to that individual that she should investigate what she's saying. That you know for a fact (counter their argument) that most of what is being said about Benghazi has turned out to be lies. The Jonathan Karl forged email, the lies about the stand down order which a Republican is on record as verifying, etc. Then tell her that as Democrats we can't be ignorant like Republicans and just believe anything that comes from the media. We verify our information and we're more interested in having factual info than misinformation that supports our beliefs.
p.s. I've found that if you google part of their claim, like "PP, post-birth abortion, baby struggling" you'll find an article in a right wing media source that uses that exact claim. That is normally how I can tell for sure if they're frauds.

(23,720 posts)and I get another reply from them, I might e able to use some of that.
Right now, I'm thinking I went a little over the top in my response and I could have my first hide at the new place.

(23,720 posts)I guess i should have said I don't believe you or I think your fibbing. But the word liar is now taboo I guess he did make me angry though.
And it just kills me that Democrats are always forced to take the high road and stay clean and to avoid the little piggies over in the mud. I like getting dirty catching piggies.
Plus I think I'm pretty good at it.
