Obesity? Unhealthy?

I heard some "doctors" saying that obesity is a health problem. But wait! Here's a chart of obesity rates:

And here's a chart of life expectancies:

Wow! Life expectancies have been increasing right along with obesity.

Now, I'm not saying that obesity extends lives, that would be a "correlation is causation" argument, which the internet told me is a no-no. But what it does prove is that obesity obviously is nothing to worry about.

Yay! Statistical illiteracy is so liberating!

On edit: This OP is a parody of an equally absurd OP on the link between rape and porn...

Proves nothing when they are just correlations.

Premature deaths, or deaths , or disease linked to obesity might be a similar graph... or worse.
-
You should have a graph showing life expectancy of obese people.

4. Jesus Christ, why don't you show life expectancy of obese people as opposed to all people.

Actuaries clearly show that people with BMI around 23-24 have the smallest chance of dying of all causes. Obese people (BMI>30) die a lot more.

PS I know your post was in jest.
