The Entire World Shows Its Pride With IDAHOT

President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry issued statements, the president of Costa Rica raised a pride flag, but most importantly millions of people worldwide stood in solidarity.

In new ways and protests, the world came together on Saturday to mark the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, an annual event aimed at raising visibility and standing together for LGBT equality. One simple but powerful gesture out of Costa Rica gained the most headlines internationally as the country's new president, Luis Guillermo Solís, raised a pride flag above his residence. Here are in photos are a few of the other moments.

Wish I did. You have to have cable to get anything at all here but their tier packages are so expensive we just couldn't justify even more money for HBO.

And one may not like my viewpoint, (as if I care) but I am not hurting anything while celebrating my own selfish success.

You are hurting William, the entire LGBT community and those of us that support equal rights for all.

Here on an OP celebrating equality. The right to marry the person you love and have full benefits provided under the law. The right to be with your spouse when they become ill, something straight couples have been allowed to do for ever.

Shame on you. Maybe you just don't understand what equality means to the LGBT community.

powerless in too many nations for too long and this event is a major sea change in a traditionally Catholic, anti-gay region where people routinely were killed or persecuted for being GLBT. But it's obvious you don't give a shit about that, do you?
