'American Spring' organizers baffled as to where their 10-30 million 'patriots' went

Operation American Sprung
The tea party folks that descended on Washington D.C. to overthrow the government last Friday are still a bit bewildered as to why the predicted 10-30 million "patriots" who they expected to show up did not, leaving them instead with a confused group of a few dozen or so. Among the possible explanations: Patriots don't like getting wet.
Pro tip for future revolutionary movements: Try to plan your rebellions around fair weather.
Well, there's a tipoff. You're bringing 126 people from Texas and hoping the rest of the country will chip in the other 30 million?
That must be it. Quick, someone head over to the Bundy Ranch and see if there are 30 million people camping out near his barbecue.

(53,661 posts)Dear Teapublicans,
Please be advised that your days of freedom are numbered now. In FACT the buses will be along in just 48 hours now to collect you from your homes and transport you to those FEMA death camps where you'll be forced to endure nonstop liberal propaganda and sharia law. You'll be put to work in chain gangs repaving roads and reparing bridges. Your wives and daughters will be forced to breed with dark-skinned people and their babies will be aborted at random. Your homes and belongings will be redistributed amongst the union thugs who run the camps and your bibles will be used as fuel to heat those homes. You will endure psychologically scarring conditioning regimens to convert you into muslim atheists like Obama and you will all be given free cell phones whether you want them or not bwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT and said:
I'm laughing my ass off, but I guess this shouldn't be here. The guy has 7 posts, with 2 already hidden, a bragging profile and has got the wingnut dogma down pat.
I don't know why his other posts were hidden. Maybe he's drunk as a skunk tonight. Maybe he's a troll here to make DU looks bad to those who are lurking.
The use of the racist theme is the reason I'm voting to hide. If he'd used a icon I guess it would pass with an edit, but he really did say exactly what wingnuts believe. Still...
Other that that, I'm at this wingnut taunting post.
'Given free cell phones whether they want them or not.'
At the FEMA death camps. OMG.
*spits on monitor*
I confess. I was Juror #6.

(538 posts)vote to hide this post? They also believe in Chem-trails, HARP, NWO, Illuminati, Aliens, and Alex Jones. Its funny but many of them really believe that we're in the end of times (in a biblical sense) and that's kind of scary. Because if they believe we're living in the end to times they have nothing to lose.

Even if you do, you would come out when the rain clears.
At most, it might deter the day drive people.
Still, not a lot of stiff spine individualism on exhibit there.

When your estimates have a margin of error (~20 million) larger than the estimate itself, then you know the number is made up.

(426 posts)these jokers come up with is just delusional wishful thinking. I remember when I was a kid - I'm reasonably intelligent, fair share of common sense - I figured everyone else in the world was the same. Growing up was a bit of a nightmare for me. (Would put a naïve smiley here if there was one.)
My guess is these people are working the other end of that except they're doing it as adults. They think everyone is as stupid as they are - though, of course, they don't see themselves as stupid. Bigotry, to them, is the 'way it's supposed to be'. Go figure.

Proud Liberal Dem
(24,412 posts)to believe that there were that many people whom subscribe to their fantasies of "overthrowing" our government, much less believe that they would have been able to get them to resign en masse just on their say-so.
I wish I could find a video clip but it reminds me of a scene from Season 5 of Babylon 5 where Londo and G'Kar are locked in a dungeon after Londo insists that he go wherever G'Kar goes (after G'Kar is detained) and Londo is convinced that his arrest would generate a massive outrage that would lead to a popular revolt against their leader, the Regent. Unfortunately, that revolution, of course, never materializes- much to G'Kar's amusement and Londo's frustration.

Those numbers only show up to tell the government we don't want more war or to try to dissuade them from restricting our civil rights.

(49,002 posts)Seriously, they are mad as hell at Glenn Beck and calling him a Beckstabber for not supporting the violent overthrow of the US government by 10 million "patriots".
The organizers said they had a million names committed to showing up and staying until the job was done. The other 9 to 29 million would be there to cheerlead for a day.
