This case is going to drive me insane. I just keep coming back to this one 911 call.

Dispatcher: "I'm not sure, ma'am, I just know he is there, and two other officers are on their way, OK? If anything changes or anything more, call us back. As far as you know, it's coming from behind your house near your back-porch area? When you hear screaming, was it screaming of female or male?"
Caller: "Male."
Dispatcher: "So, when you heard screaming, it was a male screaming?"
Caller: "Yes. And the guy on top had a white t-shirt."
Dispatcher: "What do you mean guy on top? Did you see a fight?"
Caller: "I don't know, I just looked out my window, and there was a guy on top wearing a white t-shirt."
If it was coming from her back porch area, this woman had a bird's eye view. She said the man on top had on a white T shirt. There is no universe in which a dark gray hoodie could be mistaken for a white T shirt.
But George Zimmerman was wearing a light gray T shirt under his red jacket, and it makes total sense that he would remove his jacket for a fight.

(57,936 posts)But that isn't an issue because Trayvon had a right to stand his ground. The person on top was not necessarily the attacker.
Based on Zimmerman's 911 call, he was most assuredly the person who followed Trayvon and initiated the problem.
according to the police report, he was still wearing his hoodie, when his body was found, face down.

(7,288 posts)the stalker and who's on top has got you stumped, ok....

(134 posts)Where exactly would you say I am stumped?
This appears to me, to be one of the most damaging witnesses against Zimmerman.
arthritisR_US
(7,288 posts)insane and you keep coming back to that one issue, i.e., this most damaging witness to Zimmerman and a white t-shirt. Sounds to me like you're stumped.
In that I can't stop thinking about it, and longing for justice, and analyzing every detail over and over again.
Stumped? No.
I know damned well what happened.
But I'm obsessing over the details, like half the country is, and looking for the pieces that will put this guy in jail for murder, not just some weak manslaughter charge.

(7,288 posts)what happened?
At first, I thought Zimmerman stalked Trayvon, got overzealous then at some point, he probably got scared and shot him.
Watching this story unravel this week, and get more and more desperate, I don't think he got scared at any point. He killed the kid in cold blood.
There is only one reason the tales would get more and more desperate, and I hope they can put together the case to prove what it was. Murder.
arthritisR_US
(7,288 posts)murder, it is just the degree that I've really queried about, the severity.
SteveABG
(134 posts)Is just a murder where someone unreasonably feared for their life. I may have believed that as still a possibility until the surveillance video.

(134 posts)He's trying to fill in the details now, after the fact.
Zimmerman thinks exaggerating the details will help his legal case.
I think it's more damaging. The more exaggerated he gets, the more disconnect between what we saw with our own eyes on that surveillance tape.
The only struggle was Trayvon's struggle for his life.

(7,288 posts)initial post that you were going to be an apologist for Zimmerman, they have been wearing me thin. Not a valid excuse, but I apologize for being such a horses ass earlier on

(134 posts)Just trying to use my amateur detective skills to cobble together the pieces that put him in prison for life.
Unfortunately, the only thing that may do that would be if the shot was found to be in the back...

(425 posts)all this stuff coming out in drips-n-drabs is infuriating.
all this basic stuff, that i am sure the homicide detective who wanted to arrest him (and probably did him being in handcuffs and all until his daddy's boy showed up) was aware of, is being suppressed.
however, they won't be able to hide it for long considering it is 2012, and we have people on the inside leaking this info to try and wake some of these fools up.
but the longer this drags on without an arrest, the more frustrating it is... i thought for sure by this weekend he would be arrested.
And when you add up the witnesses, there was one witness who placed Zimmerman on bottom. One.
The prosecutor chose to accept the story of only one witness.
Maddening.
arthritisR_US
(7,288 posts)one witness says Zimmerman on bottom, how many others state Martin was on bottom?
The one who spoke to Anderson Cooper the other night believed Zimmerman was on top, and the one I posted in this thread IMO rules out Trayvon being on top.

(15,189 posts)Zimmerman's dad pulled some strings. And if Trayvon was found face down, he may have been shot in the back. Maybe there was a reason Trayvon's body sat for 3 days without notifying the parents. Did someone alter the body?
SteveABG
(134 posts)Though they did not notify the parents until the next day (way too long), when they called to report him missing.
Police showed them a picture and asked if it was their son.
