My youngest daughter (11) and I have those conversations often and although her plans may change over time, I just try to steer her into something that will make her happy and encourage her to study hard and let her know I love her and will support her in any way I can.

Aside from humor.... No, there is not - you are able to seed a new generation with thoughts such as questioning what they hear, evaluating so called 'facts', and using their OWN logical brains. I always refer to 'Occam's Razor'.

I have turned at least 3 from 'computer science' to Geology and Hydrology.... Over a span of almost 2 years. Water is the new gold.

India is churning out Computer Sci prof's at about 1/2 mill a year.... the real job security is in the science of moving water to where it is needed.

boxing is not a good hobby. you only get one brain.

but very astute of you. there are still great computer jobs out there, but yeah, the big bucks have mostly sailed there.
