That would be like after an earthquake we shouldn't discuss improving safety conditions of buildings to make them more e-quake resistant because everyone is emotionally distraught

maybe it is too soon to discuss this school shooting. I'll grant that. So can we instead discuss Charles Whitman, try to make sense of that tragedy? Because if we can't solve today's problems, can we at least try to address the issues of 50 years ago?"
