'Extremely intoxicated' woman dragged through street by lawn care trailer

A woman dragged by a lawn care service trailer Monday afternoon was taken to an Omaha hospital in serious condition.

The woman, who was "extremely intoxicated," got caught on the trailer and pulled into the street at 49th Street and Underwood Avenue, an Omaha police spokesman said.

Police contacted the lawn care service, and the driver did not know the woman was caught to the trailer or injured, the spokesman said. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police did not release any other details.

Was the trailer some sort of float in a parade or was there some other substantial distraction of the driver or anyone else in shouting distance?

Just how far was she snagged on there?

I have read your posts for years...

I am a native Omahan - lived there for 36 years (for part of the time in the Dundee area that this story occurred in)...wish there were more details...
