‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens

ISLA VISTA, CA—In the days following a violent rampage in southern California in which a lone attacker killed seven individuals, including himself, and seriously injured over a dozen others, citizens living in the only country where this kind of mass killing routinely occurs reportedly concluded Tuesday that there was no way to prevent the massacre from taking place.

At least 12 since 2010. Notice how many involve >=30 people dead.

But those were just the first few links. It's becoming normal in China.

2.67 per year. One every 4.5 months.

Nope, no false equivalency here.

My first link is just a list of 10 school attacks between 2010-2012. They have subway attacks too.

I'm not bothering to bring more links for you. 12 is sufficient to prove they have mass murderers too. I could spend my day finding 50 links for you and it wouldn't make a difference in your mind, so do your own research if you're really interested.

Whether a nation has a "violent rampage" every few months with knives or guns, it's still a violent rampage, right?

Could you tell me why they aren't equivalent? With the exception of the method of murder.

I won't claim to know about every rampage.

I just wanted to address this statement: "Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens". Even though it's The Onion, that just isn't true.

The title says "Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens"

I'm pointing out that over the last 4 years, mass murder attacks happen in China. Just not with guns. 2 have happened in the last 3 months.

No need for the pointless sarcasm.

and it rather proves our point, not yours. Yes, there were many incidents but very few deaths. Nearly as many people died at Newtown as in the entire list. Why is that? Oh, let me guess. Maybe it was the lack of a gun in the Chinese attacks.

That the statement " Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens" is false.

Maybe the point you thought I made existed in your imagination only.

Very few deaths? 31 killed, 29 killed, etc. Maybe you should reread the links.

It is pretty sad that even after I pointed this out you either can't or won't read your own link. From your own link, the one you provided, On 4 August 2010, 26-year-old Fang Jiantang (方建堂 slashed more than 20 children and staff with a 60 cm knife, killing 3 children and 1 teacher, at a kindergarten in Zibo, Shandong province. Of the injured, 3 other children and 4 teachers were taken to the hospital. After being caught Fang confessed to the crime. There was no known motive.[22] Since the start of the year, a total of 27 people had died and at least 80 were injured in various knife attacks.

Your second link is about a TERRORIST ATTACK, yes you really equated an attack involving several attackers by A FREAKING TERRORIST GROUP, to our lone gunman school massacres. Oh and extra points for your last link which was about the same TERRORIST ATTACK.

Yea, I read your links.

BEIJING — China suffered one of its deadliest ever acts of terror, according to authorities, when more than 10 knife-wielding men killed at least 29 people and injured over 130 in a brutal assault at a train station in southwest China's Kunming city Saturday night.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2014/03/01/knife-men-china-train-station/5924345/

In China their government uses terror as an excuse to suppress a Muslim minority. Wouldn't matter who actually perpetrated the crime, it gives them an excuse to continue their brutalization of minorities. Xinjiang is northwest China, Kunming is in the south. My god man, you need to log off

But, I don't think there is a way to prevent this in our current environment.

Thought processes would have to fundamentally change and it won't be in this generation.

BTW, Who replaces Wayne LP, when he is no longer head of the NRA?
Is there any way that person will be more willing to accept the responsibilities that go with the rights of a gun owner?
