UC Berkeley prof: many Democrats are willing allies of Repugs in War on Women

UC Berkely professor of linguistics Robin Lakoff hit the nail on the head in this blog post:
http://blogs.berkeley.edu/2014/05/23/ever-since-eve-hillary-and-the-war-on-women/

I agree with the prof and have long been disappointed with how many Democrats, particularly on the national stage, have aided the WOW through either silence or slow-walking their efforts to fight it.

And, as the professor points out, this is putting HRC's nomination in jeopardy. I'm appealing to all Democrats to pressure your representatives to not sit back and, thereby, help the Repug's set women's representation in government back.

Strong article, HRC *is* our best candidate, and silence on Repug insinuations is agreement. n/t DanM May 2014 #2

Take this paragraph.

Push back strongly against the Republican attempt to destroy HRC. (If she really is the heir apparent, isn’t that what they need to do – right now? But their response is lackluster at best; more and more, they are essentially agreeing with their opponents: maybe she is brain damaged; certainly, the woman is old.)

First of all there are any number of Democrats who might well be thinking of running against her - we are still two years out - and they can't be blamed for thinking that casting Clinton as the heir apparent isn't exactly in their best interests.

Secondly - saying that Democrats agree that Hillary Clinton is Brain Damaged is the sort of statement that requires a citation.
