Cartoons are, well, not always well referenced. I guess the emotional aspect is powerful, but the connection to realities is, in this case, quite backwards.
Twenty five years ago this week, protests at Tiananmen Square in Beijing ended in bloodshed. Hundreds died in the government crackdown.

Hundreds of unarmed civilians died at the hands of their government. This event has nothing to do with Open Carry or Stand Your Ground, it just seems like an opportunity to connect dots that, if anything, have an inverse relationship.
Silly cartoon, IMHO, but a very serious topic.
