Looking at this map you can see why it was so easy for ISIS to get all the way to the outskirts of Bagdad. Things get a lot tougher now for them.

(35,356 posts)The Kurds aren't going to go for the Salafis. (Part of it is that they're Kurds versus Arabs; part of it is that Sufistic tendencies are left out--not all Sunnis are Salafists and Salafism cuts across fiqhs.)

By backing the Sunni bashing minority junta of al-Maliki of Iraq, he is siding with losers.
Obama's major allies will be the murderous dictator Bashar al-Assad of Syria
and the 'Supreme Leader' Ali Khamenei of Iran.
Wake up Obama . . . Stay Out of Iraq!
