That's why the hard core fundie segment will be around for quite a while- They keep it in the family, or at least a neighboring tree where the branches brush against each other

I'm not sure this is even true. It might be, but it might not be.

Santorum holds incredibly stupid, right-wing positions on just about everything. That is why he will not be the nominee, even of the GOP. He's done.

holds incredibly stupid, right-wing positions on just about everything. That's a requirement for the gig. No matter who they nominate this year, that person will hold incredibly stupid, right-wing positions on just about everything.

now.. ever since I first saw him on TV. Since I'm from E. TN., I can safely say he looks and sounds familiar

For Santorum to have this guy as a spokesperson is just... well.. perfect and symbolic of his campaign.

One of the most memorable scenes from American movie-making. I love listening to that. It seems so real. I wonder where they found that kid.

He was roughly what they wanted, and makeup did the rest for his appearance. He didn't actually play the banjo, it's another persons hands that you see. Billy Redden's arms were behind his back and Mike Addis' arms reached through and did the actual playing. That is all hidden by the camera angles. (Things I learned in a college course on communication for $1000 Alex.)

Those 1930s shorts were shown on every local kids' show in the 1960s. I saw them every afternoon.

I think he means "weak gene pool".

Is THAT OK?

Or is it discriminatory towards those with extremely close family "ties".
