When BFEE warmaster Robert Gates flew, he rode inside a special portable trailer "apartment." He described it when 60 Minutes did a nice hagiography on him.

We talked about that on a flight from Riyadh to Baghdad inside the "Silver Bullet" - Gates' airborne office, which is an Airstream trailer strapped to the floor of one of his C-17 military planes.

We asked about the meeting he had just had in Saudi Arabia with King Abdullah.

This is how she travels around the world? Inside basically a cargo hold! I always thought people in positions like hers traveled in a lesser version of AF-1. Kudos to her. She is one smart, classy lady. She is 6 months older than me. There is NO way I have even 1/10th the stamina or intellect of this woman.

I learned from a Canadian documentary that her plane does not have a real bed and does not have a shower/tub. Given that she lives/sleeps in it 5 out of 7 days a week I don't know how she does it. I know I could not do it.

I would be screaming - put me on the ground I need to wash my hair and get some sleep.
