I am pretty tired of watching 4 hour American "football" games with about 11 minutes of "action."

90 minutes of flat out play where you could miss a great play if you turn your head even for a second.
90 minutes of play uninterrupted by 60 beer commercials, fat burgers, diet pills and political hate messages.
90 minutes of action in @ 105 minutes including the halftime.

Bye "football," bye baseball and basketball you are on notice. Learn how to end the damn game, will you?

Starting with Ann Coulter to this dumb article

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2014/07/kareem_abdul_jabbars_critique_of_soccer.html#.U7fng-15p98.facebook

And this cartoon.

Why is this needed? Why do we have to make an issue out of it as compared to American sports? Why does there have to be a competition?

It's odd the way people are making this about America. Like wow other people not American enjoy this sport, so it must be un-American. Big deal.

...but it is pretty damn close. How arrogant and condescending.

The point made above about missing something is you turn your head for even a second is a point well taken. When watching soccer games, I always plan a "pit stop" before the game starts, because you can pretty much guarantee one of the best plays of the game will happen if you are in the bathroom before halftime.

I don't follow the sports otherwise, but once every fours years I'm all in and fan.

I was big into soccer through grade school and some high school as a player so I get the game.
