Man donates $1M dinosaur skeleton to Creation Museum

By REMA RAHMAN and ELISHA SAUERS

A candidate for Anne Arundel County Council recently donated dinosaur fossils to a creationist museum for an exhibit that claims the creatures roamed the Earth less than 5,000 years ago.

Michael Peroutka, the Republican nominee in the District 5 council race, presented the fossils at the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Ky., near Cincinnati, over the Memorial Day weekend.

Tax records show he valued the skeleton at $200,000, but the museum put its worth at $1 million.

Peroutka, 61, is a debt collection lawyer in Pasadena and former Constitution Party presidential candidate.

Oh boy, a debt collector and a religious nutcase. What a combination. He must be a great party guest!

Renoirs should be in museums, not in the downstairs powder rooms of millionaires.
