Who is the most batshit insane Republican congressman?

Last edited Wed Jul 23, 2014, 09:56 PM - Edit history (1)

Off the top of my head, it's a toss-up between Louie "Loony" Gohmert (R-TX) and Steve King (R-IA), "The Shame of Sioux City."

But I'm sure there are other shining stars in the Republican firmament, and I don't want to leave them out.

Anybody?

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/congressmen

congressmen: a member of a congress; especially : a member of the United States House of Representatives

Generally when you refer to both Senators and Congressmen with relation to their both being members of the bicameral Congress you'd say "Members of Congress" to get around the ambiguity.

Who is the guy who thought Mars was the same temperature as Earth? Therefore, climate change is baloney...and down with the EPA?

Steve King is (R-IA) not (D-IA).

I'm going to have to go with Michele Bachmann, DU's Sweetheart.

assume he's getting paid off, or he should have never been elected for anything. Start with his startling views on climate change (and I think he's a member of the committee?). Seriously delusional, and he's been around for awhile. Whackadoo!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Inhofe

Environmental issues

Inhofe, former chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, does not believe that human activities cause climate change.[33] In The Republican War on Science, Chris Mooney stated that Inhofe "politicizes and misuses the science of climate change".[34]

Inhofe often repeats his claim that human influenced climate change is a hoax and impossible because “God’s still up there.” and that it is “outrageous” and arrogant for people to believe human beings are “able to change what He is doing in the climate.”[35]

Most of the congressional crazies are all mouth, no action.

It's the craziest ones who will suddenly pop up with absolutely nutsoid bills, or congressional actions.
