Hero Pit Bull Saves Injured Chihuahua Pal

Jonie Loves Chachi: Hero Pit Bull Saves Injured Chihuahua Pal

A pit bull is being hailed as a hero for carrying an injured Chihuahua to safety -- and now the two dogs are looking for a loving home together.

Pit bull Jonie was found carrying her injured friend, Chachi, inside her mouth, roaming around a Savannah, Georgia, neighborhood on July 10.

The officers who found the duo took them to the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Animal Control Shelter, and Chachi underwent eye surgery. Officials at the animal shelter gave the pair their names based upon the "Happy Days" characters.

All pitbulls are evil and should be killed. I know that because I read it on DU.

Granted, that might have been gleaned from posts by halfwit inbred morons, but they still posted them. And those posts stood.

I call it the Merritt Clifton Rule. Embrace the stupid and damn the substance, then alert on the sane.

I hope whoever adopted these dogs takes proper precautions, for their own sake and the sake of both of the dogs.
