The Blowback Begins in Tulsa - Comments from Oklahoma Citizens

It sounds all too much like the "Trayvon Effect". Obviously, there were a few comments where people expressed sorrow for those shot and killed. But all too many were like the ones below. I'm already seeing the same kinds of comments on FB - and it hasn't even been 24 hours. We are heading down a very wrong road in this country.

I'm with you Skeptiker: Let's tear down the Greenwood Cultural Center and John Hope Franklin Park as the first steps toward "healing".

Look, I don't want to throw gasoline on such a nice campfire, but let's face it -- since the middle of 2011 there have been no fewer than 35 young black males that have perpetrated violent crimes against white citizens. Executions in a park, home invasions, robberies that included murder and most recently an 85 year old woman raped and beaten to death in front of her 90-year-old husband. If you include black on black crime, the total is closer to 45 young black males and over a dozen whites involved...

Where was the outrage of the Mayor, the Chief-of-Police, the NAACP, the FBI, the U.S. Marshall's office then?
If there had been a more appropriate response previously maybe we wouldn't be where we are today?

I'm telling you, if the tables were turned, then race would not be an issue.

What happens if it is found to be a "black shooter"? I don't think comments like Blakney and Henderson have made have been helpful at all for the situation. Shootings happen on a daily basis in Tulsa, which don't get me wrong, it is a sad situation that has gotten out if control. However having said this I find it interesting that suddenly we have someone in North Tulsa actually speaking out with information on a shooting when normally no one knows anything. A perfect example would be the Chicken Hut shootings where people obviously saw SOMETHING while they stepped over bodies to pick up their chicken order. I also find it interesting that when someone DOES speak up they point the finger at a supposedly "white man".

Will Al "the race baiter" Sharpton be marching in north Tulsa soon?

Club 21(1 hour ago)

I agree. Why is "hate crime" a one way street? Where are all of these community "leaders" during every other killing spree? Why no outrage then? If it is possible that a white man was involved it takes on new meaning apparently...
It is unfortunate what happened regardless of race. There is no evidence at all that its a hate crime. Belief systems and discrimination are present everywhere. It borders on ridiculous that it is only mentioned or identified when its white on black crime. The discrimination, hatred and hate crimes that are black on white never seem to be identified or addressed. Everyone is too afraid to speak up then. This had lead to a discrimination shift, it is certainly not a one way street!

A white person might have shot a black!? Oh my gosh, the world is ending. Call up the guard! Its no big deal when blacks kill whites (daily) but how dare it be the other way around! Form the task force, call Jessie and Al...we wont stand for this!!!

just sayin

+I'm also wondering if this may be a payback for the killing of the Straits. Didn't they say they thought there were 5 perps in that crime? 5 were shot in this incident...maybe randomly but maybe the motive is pay back for the absolutely horrible things that were done to that couple by black men. I know I'm infuriated by it.

man im glad my truck is red bc the stupid idiots will probably start shooting white people in white trucks next. when the vehicle has probably already been abandoned

It sure is funny how black people are always yelling about racism when they are the most racist people of all. If any other nationality comitts a crime against a black person its a hate crime but when your own black people kill each other its all good. you have the black panthers who are out of control and putting a bounty on a mans head that they have no right to judge or prosecute no matter if he is innocent or guilty. If that was the kkk they would already be in jail. Its ******!!!

This very likely could be related to the rape and murder of the 85-year-old Nancy Strait earlier this year. Perhaps a young relative.

These racists have been indoctrinated to hate blacks and have no idea that they will be flushed out right along with the poor blacks when the rich decide they've had enough of exploiting America. Even as it happens they'll be too busy hating blacks to realize who they should really be hating.
