Report: United Nations human-rights commissioner calls for Trayvon Martin investigation

The United Nations high commissioner for human rights is calling for an investigation into the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, telegraph.co.uk is reporting.

The commissioner, Navi Pillay, told reporters in Barbados Friday that the case is about justice not just for Trayvon, 17, but for others in similar situations, the website reported.

WHAT, exactly, should the commission be investigating in this case? there are two defendents, there is a trial, unlike the coverup in the trayvon martin case.

and I truly hope it isn't the one I am guessing.

what a slap in the face (disgrace) to be called down by the UN's high commissioner in the wake of official foot-dragging and considerable public support for Zimmerman who allegedly gunned down an unarmed black child and officials refusing to charge him and seemingly sweeping evidence under the proverbial rug. Our national hypocrisy-slip must be showing really bad.

was under the influence. Everything else might be able to be reconstructed, but in not arresting him, we lose that bit of information.

when it comes to these kinds of cases. Thankfully it might start happening.

This is a human rights issue and it seems justice is being denied to too many people that look like Trayvon.
