Grassley calls Obama "stupid"

Not that he said something stupid, but that Obama is stupid. One thing you cannot say about Obama is that he's stupid. So, Grassley, on this Easter Morn, I shall call you a worthless piece of dogshit...with apologies to dogshit everywhere.

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/04/08/11082601-sen-grassley-calls-the-president-stupid?lite

Iowa's senior senator and prolific Tweeter, Republican Chuck Grassley, sent a harshly worded message Saturday that intentionally slighted the president.

Aides say Grassley personally Tweeted: "Constituents askd why i am not outraged at PresO attack on supreme court independence. Bcause Am ppl r not stupid as this x prof of con law."

While Grassley's Twitter account had been previously hacked, this time the use of the word "stupid" was his own. Aides say, "The Tweet is Sen. Grassley's. He is saying that it doesn't speak well of any constitutional law professor to not understand Marbury v Madison. The people understand the independence of the judiciary. So he thinks most Americans are smarter on the Constitution."

In a second Tweet, Grassley wrote,"Possibility of peace and freedom for Syria gets more remote as PresO plays along w the farce of Kofi Annans negotiatios (sic) there Barack wakeup."

Here is an aged, long time US Senator acting like a 2 year old. Calling the POTUS names and by his first name.

Disgusting. What an example for our children and for the American people.

I live in South Carolina. Joe Wilson became my Rep. with redistricting. Not that the other turd we had previously was any better.

I'll tell you, it's really entertaining listening to the stupid, lying thugs calling President Obama, "stupid", a "liar", and a "thug". Republicans sure do love to project their faults and failures on other people.

After being accused of calling US troops in Iraq dumb with his famous "you get stuck in Iraq" statement on education, his defense was that he misspoke and INTENDED to call the * dumb.

5. Grassley is stupid (well, we knew that already)

if he thinks Obama doesn't understand Marbury v. Madison. Of course, he's just spinning; the Prez never suggested the Supremes didn't have the power of judicial review; he was just making the same point that conservatives have been ranting about for years when they complain about "activist" judges - which is that the court should avoid overturning a duly-enacted statute for political or partisan reasons. What's even more troubling is that a Senator was so disrespectful of this President as to call him "stupid." I don't recall any Democratic senators publicly calling Bush stupid, even though one might argue that he was.

It seems that the GOPers don't hesitate to insult this President publicly.

I wonder why?

7. How is it an attack on Supreme Court independence

to have an opinion? The Supreme Court is independent. It does not have to rule the way Obama wants, no matter how much Obama talks about it. It is Grassley who is attacking the President's freedom of speech.

Oh wait, my mistake. Republicans have been programmed to admire stupid but not actually call it stupid.

On Wednesday, survivors from the massacre in Tuscon earlier this year, which saw 19 innocent people sprayed with lead for no particular reason, including a murdered federal judge and Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, were in Washington. They had come to attend a Senate hearing being held on an obviously crazy bill that would do the monstrous deed of mandating background checks on all who purchase firearms, to prevent criminals, terrorists and the mentally ill from snapping their fingers just before bringing us the next Columbine or Virginia Tech.

Grassley behaved so boorishly to survivors of a genuine tragedy that these men and women, who had lost loved ones and been indiscriminately shot, sent him a letter demanding an apology. Yes, Grassley's "obvious disregard for the gun violence survivors in the room" and "apparent ignorance of the deadly serious issue we came to discuss with you" was that obviously on display for all to see, as he repeatedly ignored testimony to read his Blackberry, and used the hearing to push forward the propaganda of the National Rifle Association at the expense of survivors of a horrific attack.
