Have you seen the new ASPCA ads on TV? Breaks your heart.

These poor animals need your help. Donate, adopt. volunteer.
Please help these wonderful cats and dogs find some love in their lives.

There is nothing like the love of an animal.
These pets have been abandoned or abused. Do the right thing. Adopt. Don't go to the puppy mills or breeders. Give a home to these sweet, lonely, wonderful animals.

probably in the open space park across the street from my house. She was about 10 weeks old and so scared it took me 3 days to trap her and another week to be able to handle her. 8 weeks later she's sleeping on my bed as happy as can be.

It's horrible how many animals are dumped that way, she was just lucky it was near you.

She was only about 3 months old at the time. Fortunately, she was dumped in a place where a really nice woman (my former boss) was able to rescue her. It helped that my cat knew enough to suck up to the right person, too. That was 10 years ago.

All my pets have been fixed, even the newest one. I do TNR for a feral cat group. There is a 70% mortality rate for feral kittens. Scary.

but that we're able to love THEM unconditionally. We've been hurt by friends, family, life over the years and we're always a little self protective, I think. But with animals, you can let ALL THAT LOVE just gush on out -- and nothing feels better!

I have taken in numerous strays over the years and cared for feral cats. The ads frustrate me- I would take them all if I could, but I can't.

......blind ones, deaf ones, injured ones...every one of them cherished by us.

The most recent baby adopted was a little black ball of fuzz who came to us from Montreal PQ. (I work as a Customs officer on the Canadian border.) This truck arrived from Montreal one blustery October night. We broke the seal on the trailer, opened the door, and out popped this wide-eyed little black kitten. The truck driver said; "hey, where'd that come from? It's not mine.

Well then I guess it's mine said I. I cradled it in my arms and we instantly bonded.

The poor thing must have entered the van at the loading dock in Montreal and got locked in. Now she is our beautiful little girl "Autumn". A very happy ending for her, and us.
