"Academic"..."elite"... "do-gooder", etc

I often hear right wingers snarling out these words, as if there is something wrong with them or the people who lay claim to those themes as part of their curriculum vitae.

Republicans/right-wingers live in an "either-or/black-white" world, so they would prefer that their kids get an education from a NON elite school, and to learn to do only bad deeds?

I'm sure they want an experienced "elite" mechanic to fix their cars

They like to attend races driven by ELITE Nascar drivers.

Do they want a doctor, who is not an elite, to treat their cancer?

Do doctors become doctors without an "academic" background?

Would they want their kid to go to their local Community College instead of say....Harvard? if they had the choice, that is.

Definitions of elite:

noun: a group or class of persons enjoying superior intellectual or social or economic status
adjective: selected as the best

Example: "Elite colleges"

Definitions of do-gooder:

noun: someone devoted to the promotion of human welfare and to social reforms

I so wish that media would call these folks what they really are at heart.

They are contrarians

Definitions of contrarian:

noun: an investor who deliberately decides to go against the prevailing wisdom of other investors

a GOP voter base they've been developing for the last 3 decades through the RW media empires of 2 nonAmericans - cult leader RevMoon and the extortionist Rupert Murdoch. They support the fascist agenda of NWO. That's as unAmerican as you can get.

Every now and then one of the GOP voters comes to their senses when they think about it in terms they understand.

Maybe some University Presidents do. Maybe. But I read about a lot of Biz types and politicians who do so. Now who is elite?

4. Reason does not work with these "talking point" debates...

the points are aimed at a lazy, intellectually incurious group whose reading list happens to be Glenn Beck and Rush Lilmbaugh's lips.

Just about the only time the GOP's audience thinks for themselves it is to decide to use the right or left hand to wipe with.
