I heard the leader of the Kurds yesterday pleading for help...he said the Kurds liked everything American, were pro-democracy, and have always supported all our efforts in Iraq...
He pleaded for help from us, their best friend...
I got tears in my eyes when THE PRESIDENT made his speech tonight saying we were going in to help. I am so anti-war I can't believe how strongly I approve. His attitude was strong, sure, confident, and it seems he doesn't just have the approval of his advisors, his strength came from support even from his wife and girls. He was spot-on-sure he was doing the right thing....
I've been watching mostly CNN, but MSNBC had some good moments too, one was when Richard Engel said the the Kurds have always been our best friends, and it would be criminal not to help them now.
