University President takes a chunk out of his pay to give others a boost...

Did anyone else hear this story? The president of the University of Kentucky took a voluntary pay cut of $90K in order to raise the pay of the lowest paid employees of the university. I wish that more people in our country would follow Raymond Burse's example.

I may have missed some of the story. I was working when it was on, but I was blown away that he would give a quarter of his income to help employees who need to make more.

My grandfather and my husband's grandfather were old school CEO's who made reasonable salaries. They made more than some (not all) of the employees. Their priority was the future of the company. The employees were like family. I don't see that these days.
