I met the "Ragin' Cajun" today

as he was guest speaker at a conference I attended. Lt. General Russell Honore' is now retired but still a force with which to be reckoned.

"They call me to Congress and take me out to $100 lunches in air conditioned restaurants and tell me how hard their jobs are... ... but they aren't interested in hearing anything I have to say."

Fascinating, brilliant man with worlds of experience.

We would be lucky if we had more people like him around.

Perhaps a syndicated column or a blog?

Then we could harass our congresscritters to do what the General suggests!

My hubs met him & that wife of his on a flight to London in 94. I was a fan then but not now.
