Like the ones about parents not caring enough to make sure their kids stay in school and do homework, or the ones about an entire generation being too lazy. In all such cases it is only a minority of people that fit the complaint, and I wish it would stop.

SOME people care more about kids in the ME than black teens in this country. If that's true of the OP, then he should explain why he feels that way, not try to include everyone else.

... on the lives of "white" folk than those of people of color .... however, there is another tier .... "we" do not appear all that fond of poor white folk (appearing as a third tier)
