The unique artist Joseph Cornell had many interests and obsessions. One of them was Lauren Bacall. Here is one of his famous assemblage boxes, Untitled (Penny Arcade Portrait of Lauren Bacall), c. 1945-46. Oddly, it sold at an auction just this May at Christies, for $5.3 million.
