The man has no history - amazing!

(548 posts)that is really his name. Somebody, somewhere must have a photo or information about this guy. Hard to believe he was able to completely disappear.

(14,040 posts)Didn't find anything. I do find it amazing that a 26 yr old would have no electronic footprint. I tried searching in Ferguson, Jennings & Crestwood MO with no luck.

(2,030 posts)with enough detail that you could probably find his house, but with the St Louis County records offline, I can't be sure.

Exact whereabouts unknown. Apparently hasn't been interviewed or deposed about the shooting by investigators. IMO, this is very strange and unusual. Generally, a cop involved in a shooting is assigned a desk job until investigation is complete. Or, under questionable circumstances they are suspended with pay, I assume that means they sit at home. But, for a cop involved in a shooting to leave town during the course of an investigation... I've never heard of such a thing.

(12,977 posts)The articles say he got a commendation last winter -- there would normally be some mention of that. There might have been a notice when he joined the Ferguson Police Department. Sometimes cops get their picture in the paper because they're sent around to schools or civic organizations to do presentations. Getting mentioned in a small-town paper is normally the easiest thing in the world.
And even if some of this has been scrubbed, it wouldn't have had time to drop out of Google search results. The guy really is peculiarly invisible.

(36,437 posts)Cops often switch jurisdictions when they've been shitcanned in one, even for serious violations. It's a big problem. Cops who are discharged for violations simply apply to another small jurisdiction and get hired.
They said he had no disciplinary in the Ferguson PD. What about his first jurisdiction? What was his first jurisdiction, by the way? Did we ever learn that? If not, why not?

(269,182 posts)but listening to the discussions on the Ferguson PD, there was no supervision of serious violations so he may have been getting away with 'murder' for four years.

(14,971 posts)The geographic difference between Ferguson and Crestwood is tinya short 26 miles away. But the demographic differences are severe. In 2012, the median household income in Ferguson was $36,121; it was nearly double for Crestwood, at $64,724. And while Ferguson is a largely black city where 64.9 percent of residents are black, Crestwoods black population is tiny, at just 1.3 percent. Wilson previously worked in nearby Jennings, where the black population is 86.1 percent.
Wilson has policed two cities with majority black working class populations. Cities that look nothing like the one he calls home

(15,435 posts)On THIS CASE! But maybe not. I live in FL and sooooo much is sooooo wrong, but this killing in MO keeps having wheels flying in every direction! Have some friends who live so close to the center of it all who visit FL quite a bit. Bought a house 2 houses away and he always popped jokes about how screwed up this state is. Never argued with him about it, have to agree. However we have talked about race from time to time. I've called him out about his tinge of racism and we got into a couple of very heated arguments during the Zimmerman/Martin fiasco. He kept making comments then would add "I'm Standing My Ground!" Really, really made me livid since I marched in a couple of Justice For Trayvon marches.
I DO live in a place I call "white bread" because there are so few people of other races who live here, but told him that's NO reason to attack me when I would call him out regarding what I felt were semi-racist comments. He actually has told me that my view would change if I lived where he did. Told him he was absolutely wrong, so now I'm seeing exactly where he lives and what's happening. Have been tempted to call him and tell him I'm watching "his" home town and ask him if he's "standing his ground!" Just not that rude. Can't say he's a real racist, but he never seemed to understand how strongly I felt about the injustice about the Zimmerman type killings. And it seems it's happening more and more all over this country!!
I could go on and on about so many wrongs, but WOW the militaristic militia show I saw was just SICKENING! Way too scary, way to WRONG!
