Account of last night in Ferguson from Center for Constitutional Rights

http://org.salsalabs.com/o/383/t/0/blastContent.jsp?email_blast_KEY=1304601

Last night police in Ferguson attacked a peaceful demonstration, hours before the state-imposed curfew. They tear gassed children. They threatened reporters. The headlines in today’s papers don’t tell this story – “National Guard to be Deployed in Missouri to Quell Unrest,” the New York Times said on its homepage – but I know it’s true because CCR has staff on the ground in Ferguson who saw it with their own eyes.

Purvi Shah, Jessica Lee and Chauniqua Young have been in Ferguson since Saturday, and they were among those who were tear gassed last night. They are there to stand in solidarity with the local community and to offer support to the fight back against racist police violence and state repression. They live-tweeted the events of the night, and are continuing to provide real-time news about what’s going on through their Twitter handles. CCR is retweeting their updates.

~snip~

Purvi reported this from last night’s attack: "We were given no warning, and even running from the gas, it was impossible to escape the falling canisters. Areas that were considered safe, such as the press area, were hit repeatedly. Soon after, we attempted to deliver supplies like milk, water, and antacid for the victims who had been tear-gassed. As we attempted to do so, tear gas was being fired all around us, without warning, including into an intersection where people were crossing. The town of Ferguson is under siege. Huge areas of the city have been made inaccessible—and inescapable, and the community has absolutely no place to safely assemble."

I suspected as much

The Ferguson PD is similar to Hamas, but the people of Ferguson don't have a conveniently ignored history of terror attacks against civilians and didn't fire rockets at the cops. Which part of Palestine? Gaza or Jordan, or the West Bank?

Aren't the new cops the state troopers that they liked? Can someone explain this to me.

The troopers pulled out and the Saint Lewis County thugs replaced them last night.
