WASHINGTON • White House and Justice Department officials on Monday held two conference calls on the crisis in Ferguson with a total of 1,050 African-American and civil rights leaders around the country.

The calls, made by Attorney General Eric Holder, White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett and the Justice Department’s Acting Civil Rights Division Chief Molly Moran, “were held in part to enlist these participants to help keep the situation calm and focused,” a White House official said Tuesday.

The revelation of the calls was part of a White House account provided to the Post-Dispatch of administration actions since the Aug. 9 police shooting death of Michael Brown, 18, by Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson. The White House account describes multiple, individual contacts between either Obama or high-ranking administration officials and Gov. Jay Nixon and Missouri’s two senators.

his ability to consistently make the quiet, but SMART play. I think that comes from his belief/realization that nothing about his job is about him ... except his faithful execution of his duties as President and as a man.

The White House said its response to the Brown shooting began on Aug. 10, the day after the incident, when Department of Justice Community Relations Service employees were sent to Ferguson to “open lines of communication between protesters and local authorities.”

The next day, Aug. 11, Holder announced the DOJ would conduct a “fulsome review” and a “concurrent, federal” investigation of the shooting.

That could not possibly happened on DU...oh wait it did! I am shocked, shocked I say~ Not.

Ha! To the crowd that thinks this President is a POS and those that believe that he does not care about the people in Ferguson. They can stuff it.

Try looking at the facts and not your fricking unbelievable unrelenting outrage of this black President.

.....ground game for voter registration and voter turn out in Missouri.

Need to get different, more diverse, more progressive people into office at all levels. Must return to the old Democratic party program of voter organizing.

Dean tried but the party cut him off after 2008.

They they wondered what happened in the midterms.

Because the white officers, that have a racially suspect history, are acting out?

President Obama is doing exactly what he should be doing.

You have an out of control police force there threatening to kill media while Capt moRON Johnson walks down the street like a king watching it all.

but hey maybe Obama did call and say "Ronnie you're doing a heck of a job"

Another Ferguson cop telling media trying to ask Capt Johnson a question to: "Get over on that shoulder and get your asses moving". Johnson does nothing.
