I believe an official effort should be made to identify and appropriately discipline National Guard members who use such slurs.

According to the Missouri National Guard's own website, their values are:

Soldier, Airmen and Family Focused

Honor in all we do

Opportunities for all

Willingness to learn

Meet changing demands

Empower and mentor
