A local ABC station is reporting that Dorian Johnson has an arrest warrant for theft. Thats not a huge deal but he was cited in the past for filing a false police report. If thats true that can not be good for the prosecution.

(9,527 posts)It does make his credibility go to shit.
That said, I haven't seen any additional evidence saying he does in fact have such a citation. So I'd need more to lend the report more credibility.

(12,041 posts)This looks like an attempt at character assassination, if it is unrelated to the shooting the prosecution can't use it in court.

(12,041 posts)You can dig up dirt on anyone, but that does not mean the dirt you dig up fully reflects a person's character. The kid is 18 years old, you won't find many 18 year olds who have never done anything stupid.

(12,041 posts)Or are you just buying into the smear on him with no knowledge of what actually happened?

(21,849 posts)Filing a false report would relate to one's credibility and thus would be admissible, if there were a conviction.

(18,101 posts)30 days in jail sentence was suspended. He got 2 years probation and community service.
That means there is no warrant. He took responsibility for his actions.
If it's the same person.

I don't put much faith in any of the warrants issued in that area.

(5,649 posts)So now we need to start with the witnesses.
Because why? Then there was a good reason to shoot Mike Brown??
THEY SHOT AN UNARMED TEENAGER. BLACK LIVES HAVE VALUE.
That's it. That's all we need to say here.
