Vogue Editor Anna Wintour Accepts ALS Ice Bucket Challenge & Takes An Almighty Drenching

Fashion's most notorious ice queen has surprised pretty much everyone on earth by accepting her daughter Bee Shaffer's nomination to undergo the ALS ice bucket challenge. 'I Anna Wintour, with my family, accept my daughter Bee's ALS ice bucket challenge, and I nominate Roger Federer and Dominic West,' the steely 64-year-old American Vogue editor states in the video, which was posted to the publication's Facebook page from her Hamptons home in Mastic.
Immaculately dressed as always, Ms Wintour's assembled family then proceed to launch several huge buckets of ice over her. In a rare move, she breaks her usual stoic demeanor and squeals as the freezing water drenches her famous bob. Within an hour, the Vogue video had gained over 4,671 'likes' on the social media network, and countless outpourings of disbelief.

'OMG, I can't believe Anna Wintour did the ice bucket challenge,' writes one.
'For the first time in my life, I finally see Anna's hair flat...' remarks another.
Ms Shaffer is the latest in a long string of celebrities to undertake the charity stunt; most recent partakers including supermodels Gisele, Kate Upton and Alessandra Ambrosio, singer Nicole Scherzinger and X-Factor mogul Simon Cowell.
In just a matter of weeks, the ice bucket challenge has helped raise over $22 million for the ALS Association.
The charity helps sufferers of amyotrophic lateral sclerosisa, a neurodegenerative disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement.

The stunt is the brainchild of former Division 1 baseball player Peter Frates, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2012.
It first took off in Boston, where the 29-year-old played, but has quickly spread all over the world. Participants simply film themselves pouring a bucket of ice cold water over their heads and then share it on social media, nominating friends to do the same.
The forfeit - President Obama is said to have turned down the challenge - is donating money to the foundation, though those that do take it on are also encouraged to donate.

Aug 2016

from there ice bucket challenge a few years ago, singer Nicole Scherzinger and X-Factor mogul Simon Cowell reunite as x factor uk judges, with a return of the original judging panel of simon cowell, louis walsh and sharon osbourne for x factor 2016, and also Nicole Scherzinger as the 4th judge.

also was not Nicole Scherzinger and simon cowell judges together on the ill fated x factor usa a few years ago i think they were at least for 1 or 2 of the 3 seasons the x factor usa run on fox tv, well x factor uk is still going strong, and proposed to continue with another season in 2017, though judges cowell on the ending of the x factor usa said it was not cancelled just rested.

so that is news for fans of the xfactor usa according to recent news stories from simon cowell, there is still the possibility (slim) that the x factor usa could return at some time in the future, though the chances might not be so likely there is a possibility at the very least, which is better then no possibility at all, at least.

not keen on those crazies of the past like the ice bucket challenge and the like, will stick to just watching the x factor uk on tv with a nice warm cup of tea, and leave the ice water for other people.
