They have a client who is obstructing any kind of effective defense and they don't want to be held to account for it. I think this is not unexpected for lawyers to bail under this circumstance. If you have an uncooperative client who lies to you, your reputation is put on the line, too.

and are doing a PYA (Protect Your Ass) move before it all hits the fan. The two competing websites begging for money for Zimmerman seems to have been a catalyst.
