....by every rightwinger from FOX News to the NRA to the Tea Party are creating a very unhealthy racial tension in this country.
We had a chance to heal the wounds of racism with the election of Barack Obama. The first African-American President gave hope to every minority in our country. It hurt deeply to hear some people accuse him of being a "Muslim" or say that he was born in Kenya or say that he was "lazy" or that he did not love this country like a white President.
These racist rants by those on the right are at the root of the killings by the police and the reactions by the black communities across our nation. They are sick of the racism from the right of the President. It has become obvious that it is all about race and it has stirred up an anger that cannot be easily resolved.

(5,643 posts)It's especially galling knowing that the moron in the White House before him, who did so much damage to this country, got over five years. The press never seriously criticized him until Katrina.

The only way for that to happen is to expose the cancerous disease of racism at its full blown deadliest so we can cut it out of the Nation's body forever.

(13,685 posts)With the election of Obama it reached it's leftward margin. Obama was elected because he offered Hope and Change to peaceful people.
I remember Bill Clinton being hated by the whitey-righties. Because he too offered Hope and Change. They whitey-righties were happy as pigs in shit with bushes back-to-war, and oppression, as a national policy. They figured they had it in the bag and the hippies had finally been defeated. They were proven wrong and their heroes all pissed down on them making them mad as a snake. And here they are; crawling backwards.
If we are not careful and united, we will get another righty-whitey in power.
We must push the pendulum back to the left even beyond where we pushed it in 2008.
