(45,488 posts)5. BK is not moving to Canada. They are redoing paperwork to transfer tax burden
from the US to Canada. They made $8.86 million in N. America last year. This will reduce their tax burden by $62 million. It is a process called "tax inversion." Walgreens tried to do it earlier this summer, but boycott pressure on their Board of Directors caused them to change plans and stay in the US.
