I wonder how are we going to conduct military operations against ISIS if all

we hear from the media outlets is the AMERICANS ARE COMING! THE AMERICANS ARE COMING! Our ability to conduct necessary spying has been compromised because it has been announced to our allies that the NSA has surveillance in their countries. It just seems that the military plans have been given to the media and they spill it out while the terrorists listen. Just seems a little weird that our need to know is sometimes too much information.

They're not telling us individual missions in advance, just broad policy/intentions. Imagine the outcry if we just started attacking a country with no warning.
