and dangerous. Shoot first and ask questions later.

Really?

How about all olympic boxers and wrestlers.

How about a lot of the guys coming out of Gold's Gym - if they happen to be tall and workout a lot?

Seems like a sizable slice of the population could fit Stein's definition.

Given the slightest provocation - would a college football team's offensive line be at risk of being picked off because they were "armed and dangerous" per Stein's definition?

How ridiculous. And complete ridiculousness - needs to be ridiculed.

Thus the reference to this bit o'business:

"...was akin to "calling Sonny Liston unarmed or Cassius Clay unarmed."

He seems to have forgotten that the latter gentleman has been ALI for many decades, so what's with the "Clay" reference, except perhaps to say that a black man's decision to shed the name that was a vestige of slave culture is not to be respected?

And I'm sorry, young Mister Brown was a large kid, a fat kid, frankly, but not a very fit kid--that is readily apparent. Muhammad Ali, despite his advanced age and illness, could have easily decked him today--if the teenager hadn't been killed by that police, of course.

The person who was ARMED was that police man.

I'm calling RACIST on Ben Stein--the "armed" because you're black bullshit, the comparison of a fat kid with two highly trained, world-famous, BLACK prizefighters (because, ya know, they're all BLACK) and that Cassius Clay horseshit, well, that was the icing on the racist cake.

Who's with me?

He was "The Greatest" and he deserves to be called by his proper name. What Stein did was a triple whammy--he dehumanized all three black men, he mocked the dead teenager, and he denied Muhamad Ali his own agency over his person. It was a terribly rude, dismissive and racist commentary by Stein--probably the lowest point of a low career.

I'm not sure Ben thought that through. Because, according to him, just walking out the door justifies someone killing you.

(and this is feeling less and less funny. It sounds more offensive than I mean it to. Or, rather, it sounds offensive but I don't mean it to be. I'm just offended by Ben Stiller's comment.)

Apparently some joker on Twitter has announced that Michal Brown committed murder as a juvenile. No proof. Just a smear. Isn't Twitter great? You can obsess on a tan suit (instead of paying attention to the substance of the President's remarks) AND you can slander people in the grave. This is why I don't do Twitter.

"Armed" and "unarmed" have specific meanings. Doesn't matter if you're 7 feet tall, built like a brick wall and are a marshall arts champion... if you have no weapon be it a gun, knife, bat, etc. than you aren't "armed".

Next some assnoodle will complain that because he had two arms he was not only "armed" but doubly so!
