Video posted online on Tuesday depicts the arrest and Tasing of an unidentified Black man in St. Paul, Minnesota for seemingly little reason other than his refusal to state his name, the Twin Cities Daily Planet reported.

“Why am I going to jail?” the man can be heard saying toward the end of the nearly 6-minute long clip.

“It’ll be explained to you,” a male officer responds.


The video, which seemed to have been taken on a cell phone this past winter, begins with a female officer walking beside the man and asking for his name.

“Why do I have to let you know who I am?” the man asks. “I don’t have to let you know who I am if I haven’t broken any laws.”

Look at Ferguson, where the second largest source of income is police fines on the community.

If you want change, you've got to target those who commit the crimes, not pull money indiscriminately out of entire communities. You think Joe Arpaio cares how much money he costs his county? He's too busy arresting the people who pay the taxes that go out again in lawsuits.

It won't change unless it happens to white people at the same rate it happens to blacks.

That's the unfortunate truth. There are way more whites in this country and most will turn a blind eye unless it starts to affect them or people they know.

Ask any black person and they can tell you dozens of stories and similar incidents between law enforcement and people they know.
