Mike Pence headed to Iowa

By Robert Costa August 28 at 4:27 PM

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R), a conservative favorite, will soon visit Iowa to support the re-election campaign of the state’s governor.

Pence’s trip, set for Sept. 8, is the latest sign that he is considering a 2016 presidential bid.

Pence will be the keynote speaker at a Des Moines luncheon for Gov. Terry Branstad (R) and his running mate. Cam Sutton, a retired insurance executive, will host the event.

Three years ago, Sutton participated in an effort by a group of Iowa businessmen to draft Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) into the 2012 presidential race. Branstad, who has served multiple terms as governor since 1983, has long been a key player in the state that holds the first nominating contest in the GOP presidential primary.

There are challengers to Hillary, but Iowa's sucky press doesn't cover them.
Instead they give full cover for the likes of haters Perry, Jindal etc.

Hey, DM Register, want to know why no one buys your paper anymore?

November's election. Sick to death of all Joni, all the time. This last ad she has up about how she will protect SS needs to be shot down. Her Koch brother agenda support should be hung around her neck and she should be asked about this. How does she protect it? What is her plan and how does she reconcile protection of SS in the future with the allegiance to the Koch brothers who want to kill it? Where is Braley's come back to this Teabagger claptrap?

while you and I are personally involved in these races, most people don't care much until Labor Day.
In reality few care much until October.
While Branstad has spent like a drunk in a whorehouse his percentages have moved little, so it really hasn't don e him much good.

I am hoping that Braley is saving his best for late September / October. And while polls say the race is a tie, I would say Braley is at his bottom and Ernst is at her top.
As always the key is voter turnout. I believe staff is where Braley is betting his money right now for early voters.
