Chuck Todd Departs 'Daily Rundown' In The Most Awkward Way Possible

Halfway into his final show on Friday, before leaving to taking over as moderator of Meet the Press, Todd informed viewers that his producers had arranged a surprise guest to send him off, which at first appeared to be White House press secretary Josh Earnest.

But after a brief exchange, Earnest revealed the true surprise was Todd's former "Rundown" co-host Savannah Guthrie, who departed in 2011 to join "Today".

Guthrie, currently on maternity leave for "Today," was standing by via Skype.

The delay on Skype created problems.

that ending to the daily rundown was one big waste of air time. I didn't watch meet the press because of gregory. Looks like I still won't be watching. Buh bye chuckie!

4. The premise is to make guests look good so they will return.

In order to accomplish that the moderator/host has to be greater asshole than the guests Chuck makes it on that count. Out curiosity I will watch the first show.
