We spent time in Turkey this summer, and one of the things that really surprised us was how kind people were to the cats and dogs on the streets. Granted that I haven't been to that many cities, and only saw a smidgen of Turkey, but it was so cool to see the relaxed and friendly attitudes toward roaming animals...
