Grandmother arrested, accused of letting 3-year-old boy drive car

A 47-year-old woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly let a 3-year-old boy steer a vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment, according to Orlando police.

Volanda Cousar was charged with child abuse and careless driving.

A witness told police he heard a loud crash outside his apartment located in the 4800 block of Cypress Woods Dr. off Conway Road, police said.

He went outside to see what was happening and saw the boy in Cousar's lap with "both hands on the wheel and was clearly steering the vehicle," the report said.

and let him fire an Uzi.

It would then simply have been "a tragic accident" which no one could have foreseen, and she'd no doubt have the backing of the NRA and all their gunner fellow travelers.

We were probably a little older than 3, though. I suspect he had his hand at the bottom of the wheel steering surreptitiously.
