For Profit Charter Schooling at it's finest!

Espanola is a poor town in a poor state. Parents who really cared about the education their kids are falling for the charter school idea, that their kids would get individual attention that the crowded public schools can't supply. I can't imagine the betrayal most of them must feel.

However, I post this as a cautionary tale about for profit education. It works quite well for the super rich who have plenty of money for tuition. For the rest of us, this is what will eventually happen as bean counters try to climb the corporate ladder by underfunding things like structural repairs.

1. It certainly shows a lack of concern for the kids.

They'll probably let the lawyers argue about it for awhile. It disturbing with that list of known toxins that any educator wouldn't care more about the kids welfare and less about counting beans. They're probably just in it for the money.
